SHIFT: Day JobAnthem Emerging Business Group (EBG) is a new team designed to create new business models and alternative sources of future growth for the enterprise. The EBG team will coordinate with Anthem and its vast array of partners to rapidly translate emerging constituent needs into new assets. EBG will leverage Anthem core competencies and enterprise resources and also enhance/develop distinct partnerships and relationships to innovate market leading solutions.
Business Development & Partnership Manager (Emerging Business Group)
(Official Title: Business Development Manager)
Responsible for supporting the development of new concepts/innovation for both new and existing investments and partnerships. As a member of the EBG Business Development and Partnership team, the Manager will help identify, evaluate and assess emerging commercialization opportunities for Anthem. The intent is to rapidly source and incubate new capabilities and offerings to respond to changing constituent needs and diversify sources of future growth for the enterprise. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Preferred Locations - Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, New York City, San Francisco or Minneapolis.
Secondary Location: Open to other major Anthem office locations - South Portland, ME; Manchester, NH; Wallingford, CT; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; Richmond/Virginia Beach, VA; Waukesha, WI; Los Angeles, CA
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-7 years of business development experience including 7 years of healthcare related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Masters degree preferred. Ability to travel may be required.
Preferred
· Innovation, project/program management, partnership/alliance management experience.
· Knowledge in multiple disciplines within a Healthcare organization
· Familiarity evaluating/exploring/integrating market trends.
· Demonstrated analytical skills, financial acumen, sense of curiosity, and effective problem solving.
· Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
· Has a bias for action and is orientated towards achieving results.
