Position: Nurse Practitioner Manager
Location: Little Rock, AR

The Nurse Practitioner Manager is responsible for managing patient care and treatment in collaboration with the physician for a new disease management initiative. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees Disease Management program which subsumes utilization review, case management/care coordination and disease management activities.
  • Evaluates and implements solutions and strategies to support program activities.
  • Evaluates industry best practices, medical research and other resources to develop clinical programs and tools which facilitate and support quality, cost-effective care. 
  • Directs the operations, which manages the care of all members with chronic health needs
  • Evaluates data and collaborates with health plan team members to develop new DM programs as indicated
  • Educates internal clinical staff on disease management program
  • Performs health assessments and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions.
  • Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
  • Discusses case with physician. Formulates and documents care plan.
  • Oversees disease management staff

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: M.S. in Nursing required; 5 years of related experience with clinical emphasis on disease management required; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license and NP license in the state of AR required
