Director of Digital Solutions – Medicare Marketing Group

The Medicare Marketing Group at Anthem is hiring a Director of Digital Solutions to lead our digital function.  Working adjacent to our teams designing the marketing strategy, this people manager will lead the team who executes using technology to make those strategies come to life.   Our ideal candidate will be a builder who has built and ran a dynamic, successful business, as well as a proven team transformer.  He/she will build cohesive digital acquisition and member engagement strategies, have experience delivering effective solutions and delivering business value, and develop and implement metrics to report and monitor progress against goals and implements changes to effect improvement, and/or reacts to a change in the organization or industry.

[This position can work remotely from any US Anthem location]

He/she will be responsible for understanding the marketplace, segments priorities, digital innovation, and the competition.  He/she will be responsible for connecting together the needs of all stakeholders (customers, business partners, technology enablers) and generating a digital solutions strategy to move Anthem to the next level. Accountable for providing vision and direction to a team of associates who construct the solutions based on that strategy and vision. Collaborates with key stakeholders inside and outside the organization to evangelize the vision and orchestrate execution and delivery. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Defines the digital strategic vision and roadmap and priorities and ensures team and vendors are aligned with vision and strategy. Acts as the Government Business Division product owner for the solution; understands product, business, and competitive landscape. Communicates strategy and roadmap to business partners and coordinates work with functional areas across the business. Identifies and resolves strategic issues that may impair the ability of their direct reports to meet goals. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. 


Requires a BA/BS degree in related digital solutions field, MBA or equivalent preferred; 10 years of experience with digital product management with digital assets including 5 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Highly preferred experience:

-Medicare Marketing expertise

-Technology stack: Adobe Suite and Salesforce Marketing Cloud 

-Demonstrated ability in strategic leadership, creative leadership, operational/organizational leadership, while working across the matrix and effectively leading a team.

-Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation abilities required.

-Excellent managerial and change-management leadership skills required.
