The Medicare Duals Strategy Team at Anthem is hiring a Medicare Duals Growth Strategy Sr. Director (Growth Focused) to join its team.  This high performing individual contributor will be responsible for developing and overseeing an enterprise-wide Medicare Duals strategy (e.g., STARS performance, Medicare and Medicaid integration, growth, financial performance, and operational excellence) and implementation through influencing external entities (e.g., government agencies) and internal entities (e.g., government relations) and through providing innovative program design, support, and guidance across the enterprise to promote profitable membership growth and/or increased performance, working with all Regional Presidents, functional area leaders and their teams to design plans and programs for the applicable region. This position will be uniquely focused on growth (sales, marketing, plan design comparisons, market share analysis, etc.)

Primary duties may include but are not limited to: defines growth strategies and goals, and works directly with internal and external entities to influence and provide guidance and direction on the strategy, design, and implementation of Duals programs or processes (e.g., improving STARS performance, provider network improvements, enhanced member experience, etc.).

Serves as a subject matter expert and primary contact across the enterprise and for all Regional Medicare and Medicaid Plan Presidents.  Influences, coordinates, and facilitates enterprise program/process innovation and program/process development activities (e.g., evaluating internal/external capabilities, identifying market leading performance strategies, creating product strategies, developing proposals), in partnership with others.  Utilizes partnerships with internal teams, industry connections, and/or external partners to identify best practices and develop cutting edge strategies. 

Develops 3-year strategies and implementation plans for the Duals program and/or processes (e.g., Sales strategies, STARS performance, etc.).  Collaborates and coordinates work with peers, other departments within Medicare, and matrix/shared service partners (e.g., Finance, Actuarial, IT, Sales, Digital Operations, Quality, Pharmacy, HCM, CSBD, CAO, and IngenioRx) to identify capability enhancements and innovative solutions, establish accountabilities and ensure connectivity between shared services and enterprise business initiatives (e.g., creating innovative duals products/programs, increasing specific STARS results across the Anthem footprint). 


Requires a BA/BS degree; 10 years of product management, Medicare, and Medicaid experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Thorough Medicare and Medicaid knowledge required. Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Innovation, Market Strategy, Duals Strategy, Market Research, Stars metric improvement, Risk Management, Health Plan Operations, Federal and State Policy. MBA preferred.
