CareMore Associate General Manager

Responsible for overseeing CareMore's contracted provider network, including HEDIS/STAR, Coding, and Quality performance and clinic operations.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages a P&L between $100 and $500M to ensure the sub-region achieves growth, clinical operations, member experience, and network performance goals.
  • Conducts in-depth strategic research on market and competition.
  • Develops strategies to respond to competition and improve CareMore's market share.
  • Leads strategic initiatives that involve significant monetary investments and that support key strategic direction to CareMore with oversight from the Market GM.
  • Analyzes financial and operational data and prepares graphic presentations and talking points for the Market GM and Senior Leadership.
  • Serves as project manager for special projects as directed by executive management.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

What You Contribute:

  • Strong communications and executive presence
  • Strong strategic managed care perspective for complex populations and ability to lead expansion of services across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial populations
  • Ability to work in an agile “start-up” environment, including the ability to lead within ambiguous settings; strong team-building and presence; internal motivation and drive; and track record of delivering results
  • Able to flex between strategy development and operational execution
  • Hands-on clinical operations leadership experience (including team leadership and development; patient and community engagement; and field-based operations, among other functions), preferably managing in the primary care / outpatient setting, or in the home-based setting, including palliative care
  • Experience managing costs / budgets for care delivery partnerships, including capitated and/or value-based payment models
  • Ability to drive partnership and execution with key stakeholders, including health plan leadership, community organizations, and major provider partners
  • Ability to engage with brokers to support growth and leading implementation
  • Aptitude for strategic thinking with the ability to identify, leverage, and spread best practice while demonstrating a continuous innovation mindset
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare leaders, and identify new opportunities to support CareMore’s growth
  • Strong strategic and operational analytic capabilities, including financial analysis and budgeting, and facility with PowerPoint, Excel, and other management tools / clinical applications
  • Review financials developing action plans to achieve performance metrics within P&L, HEDIS & Stars to support growth.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years project management or healthcare delivery experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or other advanced degree
  • 2 or more years of experience managing clinic operations
  • 2 or more years of people leadership experience
