**Note: This position may be filled at the Process Improvement Analyst  or Process Imporvement Coordinator level depending on candidates’ skills, experience, and education.**

Location: Work @ Home - reside two hours from an Anthem office. (Miami, FL strongly preferred) 

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm EST (occasional weekends required) 


The Process Improvement Analyst or Coordinator is responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities and developing and implementing process improvements. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Process Improvement Analyst 

  • Conducts assessments of current processes, reports and procedures.
  • Identifies process improvements and recommends solutions for corrective, preventive actions.
  • Collects data and performs quantitative analysis to substantiate assumptions.
  • Performs any necessary ad hoc reporting.
  • Coordinates training and documentation required by the changes.
  • Measures outcomes of quality improvements using metrics and benchmarking criteria.
  • Documents quality initiatives for regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement Coordinator

  • Documents current work flow. Identifies areas at risk.
  • Develops recommendations for changed/new processes.
  • Coordinates obtaining consensus among affected parties.
  • Coordinates implementation and monitors post-implementation.
  • Makes necessary adjustments as needed. 
  • Work closely with internal customers to help triage and resolve provider and member complaints, quality of care issues and/or initiatives that arise. 
  • Develops recommendations for changed/new processes.
  • Work environment is “fast-paced” and requires a high sense of urgency with the ability to adapt accordingly given situations encountered.
  • Must collaborate to create “win-win” outcomes with both internal and/or external teams.
  • Work closely with company vendors and internal/external customers to deliver efficient and effective solutions to issues at hand.
  • May act as lead in providing direction to lower level associates in the department.
  • Makes necessary adjustments as needed.

Minimum Requirements: 

Process Improvement Analyst

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years operational experience in healthcare, including minimum of 2 years experience of process improvement, workflow analysis, project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a `sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive  data handling instructions.  Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.

Process Improvement Coordinator:


  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 3-5 years experience in process improvement workflow analysis, or project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  
  • Must have proficient experience with Microsoft Excel and its uses for data analytics 
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint. 
  • Excellent written communication skills. 
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Attention to detail and passion for accuracy. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable presenting in meetings

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Healthcare experience preferred, especially from the payor side and/or working with delegated vendor. 
  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.  
  • Experience with SQL and Microsoft Access preferred
