The Internal Control Consult is responsible for project and process work in the National Gov't Services (NGS) Internal Control department. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 
•Facilitates external audit engagements serving as the primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders. Includes but is not limited to, monitoring timely submission of audit deliverables, tracking and resolution of audit issues, training and monitoring compliance with audit protocols.
•Coordination and/or preparation of all CMS internal control reports, leadership reports and board materials. 
•Develops and leads Internal Controls projects for the organization. 
•Assesses and manages risk as needed and ensures corrective action on deficiencies is taken and validated. 
•Provides expertise in the area of audit techniques, procedures, regulations and compliance. 
•Ensures that contract deliverables are executed in a timely manner and keeps management informed of new requirements. 
•Provide senior level analytical support to projects, initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments. 
•Apply critical thinking to formulate strategies and concepts that drive results, persuade and influence others, adapt to change, and manage conflict.



•Requires BA/BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance and a minimum of 5 years of auditing experience; or any combination of education and/or experience which would provide an equivalent background. CPA, CIA or CISA preferred. Previous Medicare Contract and/or Project Management experience preferred. Ability to travel may be required.
