Annual Salary Range*:  
Actuarial Analyst I - $57,680-72,100
Actuarial Analyst II $67,760-84,700
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.* The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. The Actuarial Analyst II is responsible for completing projects and performing complex actuarial studies             

How you will make an impact:
•    Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting. 
•    Calculates monthly claims liability reserves, develops merit rating factors and prepares department of Insurance annual statement exhibits.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Actuarial Analyst I
•    Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Actuarial Analyst II
•    Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
•    Valuation Reserving experience preferred.
•    Healthcare experience preferred.
•    Strong Excel skills preferred
