  • Candidates will have 1-7 years of experience, depending on the level of role, ideally with a strategy firm or healthcare start-up, and have a proven track record of cultivating relationships to deliver strong results.
  • Candidates will convey a spirit of professionalism and partnership that directly aligns with our culture.
  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity, ability to “own” a problem, strong communication skills, and a strategic lens.
  • Willing to travel and must be able to relocate to, or currently a resident of Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA.
  • MBA candidates or recent MBA graduates preferred.

What impact do these roles have on the organization?

Under the guidance of our President and CEO, and in partnership with other key Anthem business and functional leaders, ASC will evaluate and organize critical initiatives, define innovative solutions and execute strategic programs.

ASC will further ignite our Anthem culture – grounded in our Strategy, Mission, Vision and Values – cultivating lasting enterprise partnerships to facilitate business innovation, experimentation, learnings and optionality across the organization.

ASC will deliver two capabilities aligned to Anthem’s internal customers.

The Strategic Engagement Management and Industry Insights & Competitive Analysis business functions will be led by principal consultants who will also serve as account managers to cultivate relationships, manage a portfolio of projects and prioritize demand. Additionally, the principal consultants will serve as "liaisons" within the ASC team, working with their peers to ensure strong coordination and engagement across the ASC organization.

The Strategic Engagement Management function will sequence and oversee enterprise strategic priorities and execute on internal consulting projects prioritized by the CEO, as well as other projects identified by key business leaders that directly align with Anthem’s growth priorities and long-term strategy.
The Industry Insights & Competitive Analysis function will scan the external environment to assess Anthem’s competitive position and the impact of emerging trends and industry dynamics. This team will analyze and articulate opportunities and potential risks related to Anthem’s growth priorities, investment strategies and innovation initiatives.
