Summer 2021 Internship HighlightsI really enjoy the work that I do on a day-to-day basis. I am being challenged technically as well as improving my communication skills in order to convey my work in the most effective and efficient way possible. Some of my favorite things about being an actuary at Anthem have been getting to know my coworkers, attending fun events in the office, and learning new things every day.
Tackling problems in healthcare daily is challenging and meaningful. No day is exactly the same, and there is so much to learn. The opportunity to immerse myself in healthcare analytics is an amazing way to be part of positive change in our country. Understanding the "big picture" of how different pieces of our healthcare business work together has been incredibly valuable.
Healthcare as an industry is undergoing rapid change and Anthem as a company is leading that change. At Anthem, I believe that I can truly make a positive impact on the community and be a part of the force that transforms the healthcare industry through technology and innovative ideas.
You have to be at least 18 years of age (unless part of an approved/sponsored program) and currently enrolled in an accredited US college or university. For actuarial students, sitting for or having at least one exam completed by the time of your interview is an advantage.

Because internships are temporary positions, the only benefits offered at this time are access to our onsite fitness facilities, and the ability to contribute to a 401k. We do, however, offer opportunities to get connected, and be mentored through our various ARGs (Associate Resource Groups).
